Last night I attended the Sydney Windows Mobile User Group, and it was cool. I was in Brisbane, they were in Sydney -
I [pardon the pun] was a virtual attendee, and was able to see the gig via the Roundtable-conferency-thingy.
I must say, the experience was pretty good, I was on a lowly 512 ADSL1 connection. I could see both the presenter, and the audience (including Jeffa, Rog42 and Johan). I could even MSN through questions.
I love the idea so much, I might chat to the lads here in Brissie and see if we can hook one up for the upcoming Brissie User Group.

This “Dugie Conference Survival Tip” is for our beloved FrankArr:
Always travel to conferences (and international airports) with a mains power double adapter! Leave it in your backpack, and If ever you need an emergency laptop/phone powerup it can be a life saver.
…and besides you never know what new friends you might meet =)

After a bit of a dry spell, I’m back to blogging. The main reasons for the drop in signal was TechED related travel. …TechEd Aust and NZ were both great! I got to chat to lots of people about their experiences and expectation with Virtualization. I’ll share more on that in a day or two.
I didn’t get a chance to go for that bike ride I wanted to, I got a killer migraine the day I had to leave — I was pretty bummed about that.
So more posts and photos as I clear out my inbox and feeds ..and all those ideas rattling around in my head. :)

I’ve just got back from tonight’s BIG session (aka the Brisbane Infrastructure Group). Ben was kind enough to drop in whilst he was on holidays and present for us. It was an awesome session. The demo gods were obviously well pleased, cause everything worked.
Lots of people asking some heavy duty questions as they prepare for their next big (or even first) steps for Virtualization. It was good to catch up with everyone. The discussion afterwards is always interesting and exciting to hear the opinions/experiences of others.
Anyway it’s getting late and I must get some sleep. cheers for now.

I was re awarded the MVP for Windows Virtual Machine over the weekend. It’s an honour to be part of the Microsoft MVP Program again.
Thankyou to all the MVPs, Community members and Friends who’ve been there at events, usergroups, cups of coffees or just emailed through. It’s great to see so many people who are interested in virtualization. I’m really looking forward to spreading a little more of the ‘virtual machine lovin’ with everyone :)
Many thanks again.
Dugie.
